Dear Friend,

After 3 rewarding years of serving the community through the arts and civic activities, The Domino Effect has decided to say goodbye.

We want to thank you for all the support, time and creativity you have given us over the years. The Domino organizers have learned so much about community building, civic engagement, arts and politics during this time, that now we see the issues and challenges out there more clearly than ever. We have decided to move in different directions to try to meet these new challenges.

Please help us say goodbye in style as we celebrate the contributions of all of our members, artists, volunteers and donors with a farewell party at the Green Room, on Thursday, December 9th starting at 8 pm. Contributing performers include Christina Abbott, Rick Reyes, Guerillafinga, Daria Musk Trio, King Sexy and many more!  As a supporter who has helped foster civic and artistic pride in Bridgeport and beyond, we invite you to join us for this event.

We're all recovering from a busy and sometimes difficult election season. Let's keep hope alive, let's strive to continue making a difference in the community, and let's continue to raise our voices through the arts. This Green Room event will be our night not only to say goodbye to The Domino Effect, but to our founder, Kara Masi, who is moving to New York City in January to pursue studies in Public Policy. We don't want to think of this as an end, but as a new chapter for Kara and all of the Dominoes.

Thank you all for your continued support and for giving us the opportunities to live, learn, and serve the community. Special thank you to our biggest supporter, Rich Franzino and the Acoustic Cafe for offering us a home and TLC from the very beginning. Also, thank you to RYASAP, Captain's Cove, The Green Room, Black Rock Castle, the Black Rock Arts Center and Playhouse on the Green for sharing your space and your resources with The Domino Effect over the years. And most of all, thank you to all the Domino volunteers who have participated during the last 3 years. The passion, commitment and goodwill demonstrated has inspired us to continue to work as individuals to engage young people and whole communities in both the arts and politics.

Again, thank you for the support. And we hope to see you on December 9th,

Your friends at The Domino Effect
